A Century of Stone and Story
It all began nearly a century ago in the small village of
Monastiraki, Drama. In 1890, a family’s devotion to the artistry of
marble sparked what would become one of Greece’s most enduring
marble legacies. Vaslis Marbles was born not merely as a workshop but
as a philosophy; to carve time, memory, and meaning into stone.
As the company grew, it moved its
base to the heart of Drama, aligning with the pulse of a region known
worldwide for its exquisite marble. The pristine white stone from
Drama has graced architectural masterpieces, sculptures, and spaces
of timeless elegance, echoing a tradition that dates back to
antiquity.
Our family’s work didn’t just
reflect this heritage, it shaped it. For decades, Vaslis Marbles
helped transform the region into a center of marble excellence.
Collaborating with artisans, architects, and visionaries, our legacy
has become inseparable from the land itself.
Greece has always spoken through
stone. From the Cycladic idols to the columns of the Parthenon,
marble is our medium of continuity and cultural expression. Five generations after, we honor this tradition by creating objects that are both
rooted in place and resonant with purpose. We do not follow trends; we
follow history, craftsmanship, and soul.
Through economic shifts,
generations, and changing styles, one thing has remained: our belief
in the silent power of marble to tell stories.
